Washington Weekend 2014 Activities Set

The Sixteenth Annual Alumni Reception and Dinner is on March 7, 2014. Held at Top of the Town in Arlington, the venue is convenient to many hotels in the Rosslyn/Crystal City area, and not far from Reagan National Airport. With a fantastic view of the city, and two excellent speakers, Governor Bill Richardson and Reverend Harry Knox (GA-1979), this will be an evening you're sure to remember for many years.

On Saturday, March 8, we move our events to downtown Washington starting with an informal, family-friendly morning at the National Geographic Museum from 10:00 to 11:30. There is an admission charge of $11.00 for adults and $7.00 for children (to age 12), payable directly to the museum. Meet us at the corner of 17th and M!

We're trying something new with our annual meeting this year, keeping officer reports to a minimum and maximizing our time for strategic planning. Join us at noon at the Daily Grill, a short walk from National Geographic and the Mayflower Hotel, for this luncheon meeting where the next crop of USSYAA officers will be elected and priorities for the next biennium will be set. If you want to see more events, or more scholarships, or more opportunities...you should definitely attend.

The Mentoring Tables activity, in cooperation with the Senate Youth Program and the William Randolph Hearst Foundations, will be held from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Mayflower Hotel. This is a chance to share your career and college knowledge with the incoming Program delegates.

Finally, we're having an alumni reunion starting at 5:30! We head back to the Daily Grill for appetizers, networking, and a chance to reminisce on this year's activities and reconnect with old friends.

If you're interested in any or all of these events, we have an omnibus registration form available at https://secure.qgiv.com/for/ussyaa/event/41954/. We look forward to seeing you in Washington!
