USSYAA Announces 2018 Award Recipients

The United States Senate Youth Alumni Association is proud to announce that this year's Rosalie Wynn Hearst Distinguished Public Service Award winner is Max Stier, and our James T. Molloy Alumni Service Award winner is Charles F. Bolden, Jr. Mr. Stier is the founding president and CEO of the Partnership for Public Service, and Major General Bolden is the former administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The Rosalie Wynn Hearst Public Service Award recognizes exceptional service on the national stage, and the James T. Molloy Alumni Service Award recognizes exemplary accomplishments of individuals who have had direct involvement in the Senate Youth Program.

Annual Dinner Registration Open!

Join us at the iconic Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C., for our annual Dinner and Reception! This program, on Friday, March 2, 2018, includes the presentation of the Rosalie Wynn Hearst Distinguished Public Service Award and the James T. Molloy Alumni Service Award. Registration for this special evening is now open via our secure registration page. We hope to see you at the Mayflower on March 2!

Alumni Saturday Registration

Enjoy a full day with fellow USSYAA members on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Planning for the coming year of outreach and our biennial elections will occur at 12:00 noon at the Mayflower Hotel. At the conclusion of the meeting at approximately 2:00 p.m., we will join the U.S. Senate Youth Program for the annual Mentoring Tables. A reunion at the Daily Grill caps off an exciting day starting at 5:00. Register for as many events as you would like via our secure registration page. There is no cost to register for these events. Early Career Public Service Recognition

For the first time, the USSYAA will recognize the contributions of young alumni in public service at our Alumni Weekend festivities. Please see the award information for more details on the nomination process. Those in attendance at the Awards Dinner on March 2, 2018, will be recognized, although there is no need to be present to be recognized.

USSYAA Officer Slate Announced

The Nominating Committee has announced the slate for the 2018-20 Board of Directors. Please see the news announcement here. Elections will occur at the Annual Meeting, held at noon on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington, DC.

Donate NowNow that our tax exempt status has been confirmed and we have initiated our scholarship activities this would be a great time for alumni (and others) to actively consider making donations to either the general fund or to the Rosalie Wynn and George Randolph Hearst, Sr. Scholarship Fund. Please note the scholarship fund is a project of USSYAA and is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by The William Randolph Hearst Foundations. Tax-deductible contributions may be made by credit card or e-check with our secure online donation form or by check sent to USSYAA, P.O. Box 1798, Washington, DC 20013-1798. (If you want your donation to go to the scholarship fund, please indicate "Scholarship Fund" on the memo line.)

Grants of up to $5,000 are made available to deserving alumni to defray the costs of graduate and professional programs that have a connection with public service.
